Event Organizer: Critical Mass Islamabad (CMI)

Join Critical Mass Islamabad (CMI) this Sunday for a refreshing morning cycling ride through the scenic roads of Islamabad. The route takes riders along Margalla Avenue and Iran Road toward the B-17 entrance, offering beautiful views, light traffic, and a pleasant cycling experience.

If weather conditions become unfavorable, the ride will follow an alternate route via Shah Allah Ditta, reducing the distance while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

  • Ride Start: 5:40 AM
  • Meeting Point: F-9 Bolan Gate, F-10 Parking, Islamabad
  • Ride Type: Easy to Medium
  • Suitable Bikes: Road Bike, Hybrid Bike, MTB, or any bicycle in good condition
  • Full Route Distance: Approximately 38.24 km
  • Alternate Route Distance: Approximately 22 km
  • Expected Weather: 29°C–39°C with broken clouds and a chance of scattered thunderstorms

Planned Route

F-9 Bolan Gate Parking → 10th Avenue → Margalla Avenue → Iran Road → GT Road Junction → U-turn → Faisal Mosque → F-9 Parking

After the ride, participants may enjoy a lassi treat at Tariq Market, F-10/1, subject to group consensus.

What to Bring

  • Cycling helmet (strongly recommended)
  • Face mask
  • Water or juice bottle
  • A properly maintained bicycle with brakes checked and tyres inflated to the recommended pressure
