The Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) successfully organized the 1st National Balance Bike Championship 2026 under its nationwide Talent Hunt Program at the LDA Sports Complex Hockey Stadium, Johar Town, Lahore, on 10 May 2026.

The championship marked a historic achievement for cycling development in Pakistan, bringing together the country’s youngest riders and providing them with a professional platform to showcase their talent, enthusiasm, and passion for cycling.

Promoting Future Cycling Champions

The landmark grassroots cycling event was proudly sponsored by McDonald’s Pakistan, while AeroCycling, FASTB, and Golden Sports served as organizing partners.

The event reflects the Pakistan Cycling Federation’s commitment to nurturing young talent and building a strong foundation for the future of cycling in Pakistan through structured youth development programs.

Nationwide Participation

The championship attracted participation from nine teams representing various regions and cycling clubs across Pakistan, including:

  • Punjab Team
  • Sindh Team
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Team
  • Islamabad Team
  • LDA Club
  • Kidical Mass Club
  • RunUp Club
  • OLA Club
  • Twisto Club

The event also witnessed enthusiastic participation from educational institutions, further strengthening youth engagement in cycling activities.

11 Categories for Boys and Girls

The championship featured 11 competitive categories for boys and girls aged 2 to 11 years.

Approximately 130 to 140 young riders from across Pakistan participated in the event, demonstrating remarkable talent, confidence, and sportsmanship. The young cyclists impressed spectators and officials alike with their determination and enthusiasm, highlighting the bright future of cycling in the country.

President PCF Highlights Importance of Grassroots Development

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Azhar Ali Shah, President of the Pakistan Cycling Federation, emphasized the significance of investing in young talent.
